Canadian Cub Jamobree 2013

This past summer, the third Cub Jamboree to be held in Canada celebrated our theme of Canada.  As part of the celebration, we looked to the many cultures and diverse people that live here and call Canada our home.  Activities included gathering statistics of the heritage of our participants (youth and leaders), learning more about the cultures represented, and encouraging all participants to seek out those from other cultures and learn about them.  Through the learning and understanding, we can begin to accept other, eliminate discrimination and create a new and more peaceful world.  These are included in the projects under the Gifts of Peace Award through Scouts Canada.   At the end of the week long jamboree, all cubs received the Gift of Peace Award for their participation.
