Boy Scouts of the Philippines, National Office, Manila together with Scouts and Leaders from among Local Scout Councils in National Capital Region, especially the Manila Council, BSP; Quezon City Council, BSP; Pasay City Council, BSP; City of Mandaluyong Council, BSP; Valenzuela City Council, BSP; Pasig City Council, BSP; Paraque City Council, BSP; Caloocan City Council, BSP; Makati City Council, BSP joined the 2014 ANNUAL WALK FOR CAUSE of the ALAY-LAKAD Foundation. The event aims to promote active and healthy lifestyle and civic obligations among young people and raise funds for various socio-civic projects of the Alay-Lakad Foundation such as scholarship program for less fortunate students, feeding program and other numeracy and literacy project in the community. The event is in partnership with different Civic Groups, Non-Government Organization, Civil Society Groups, Local Government Units and National Government Agencies such as the Lions Club International, Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Philippine National Red Cross, Philippine Amateur Radio Association, Philippine National Police, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army and different Schools, Colleges and Universities in Metro Manila. About 500 Scouts and Leaders joined the annual "Walk-For-A-Cause" event, which started as early as 4:00 in the Morning until 10:00AM, the event culminates at the Quirino Grand Stand in Manila
