BSP Mini Garden of Angeles Sisters NHS of CDO
The Angeles Sisters National High School headed by Scout Leader Marites B. Atan, WBH with her Senior Scouts initiated the Mini BSP Garden of their school. This is to nuture the craft of every youth towards Agriculture by cultivating Vegetables for their consumption and for entrepreneurship. A mini garden at school is important for providing hands-on learning, improving the Senior Scouts health and well-being, and fostering crucial life skills.
The project serves as a living laboratory for Senior Scouts, and also encourages healthier eating habits as students are more likely to try what they grow, and develops social skills such as patience, cooperation, and responsibility. The scouts learn to work together, take turns, and understand that caring for the garden is a shared responsibility. Also, School gardens can bring together students, teachers, families, and community members, helping to build stronger relationships.
