"Scouting's Journey to Excellence" is the BSA's council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It is meant to encourage excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. As part of this initiative Scouts, Units and Councils are invited to undertake and do service projects in their community. The attached data sheet shows the achievements of these Scouts countrywide. All of the service hours listed are completed in the spirit of Messengers of Peace....'to help other at all times' In total over 9349 projects, 171,775 participants and 601,532 hours of service.....these actions are continuous so this represents our service activities in recent months......
