Blood Drive

Community health and wellness is an important component of our society, and a way for me to support that element myself was by organizing and carrying out a blood drive.
This project took place indoors in a large borrowed space with permission and comfortable conditions for donors.
Through about 160 hours of work from myself and other volunteers, we were able to successfully donate much needed blood to a local organization which supplies hospitals in our area.
Throughout this process I learned about the great impact a small amount if healthy blood can have on someone in need. I also learned that people are generally ready and willing to help those around them should they be provided the opportunity and means to do so.
