Being a member of the Scouting fraternity,I always tries to extend my hands of co-operation for others and with that view every year on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan I donates my blood for the sake of needy people.I believe that this is one of the best way to serve the community and to deny the opportunity is a big sin.I believe that the character of a person is recognised by his humanity and cordiality rather than his bookish knowledge and intellectuality.This is a kind of occasion where caste,creed and religion does not matter,what matter is the eagerness to prove that we are always there for the needy people.Every year the Jawaharlal Nehru Childrens Museum in Kolkata celebrates this day with a noble cause of blood donation and I finds myself as one of the very fortunate voluntary donor who atleast plays a little part in making this day a grand success.
