Blood Donation Campaign

As a Scout, inspired by SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, initiated a blood donation campaign because I heard that lack of blood in the Negombo General Hospital Blood Bank. I was Fuel by a commitment to save lives, they rallied their community to contribute to this noble cause. With determination, they embodied the spirit of SDGs, embodying the values of service, compassion, and global responsibility.

Centenary Sea Scout Ship Scouts and Rovers teamed up with Katunayake High school Staff and St. Johns on 19th of March 2023 in order to make this blood donation campaign success. all together more than 80 people donated blood and we conducted a educating session to socialize importance of donating blood to save lives.

By conducting this project, we identified that the importance of donating blood to save lives and for next time we are planning to involve 200 blood donors in 2024.
