Blood Donation after 2nd Vaccination Dose

With the COVID pandemic hitting the country hard, there were multiple calls and campaigns to get blood donors to keep donating to keep the blood bank stock at a sustainable level. With that in mind, after complete my 2nd dose of vaccinations, a pop up blood donation place opened up in a nearby mall and I took the initiative to drop by and donate for what is only my 2nd time.
Upon arriving at the mall, it was as simple as carrying out the necessary precautions before getting in the short line to get the usual interviews out of the way. Once that is completed, it is a matter of following the nurses instructions, drawing the blood and then having a small snack before leaving.
1 pint of blood can save 3 lives is the common tag line being shared around. I am glad that I can help someone, even if I don't know who that person is.
Many people are afraid of donating blood simply because of needles or uncertainty, but if it weren't for the guidance and help from my friends, I would not have been comfortable donating as well.
