Boedra is a unique traditional songs and dances of Bhutan. However, the children and community here at Rangthangling Primary school does not give importance to our own unique cultural dance. This is because, firstly the place is at the southern part of Bhutan and they have their own local culture. Secondly, the advocacy on Boedra songs and dances were never provided. Therefore, I took an initiative of teaching three Boedra songs and dances to 40 children for 15 days with due consultation with the parents and the school authority.

The community and the children were so happy to learn such important culture and it was a great success. Children performed proudly the Boedra Dance during teacher parents meeting.
