Bhutan Scouts: No job too big or small, Community service helps all.
105 NSO Staff, Adult Leaders, Rovers, CBS and Senior Scouts undertook a service project at a 13th century Monastery north of Thimphu. 3 Hours walk uphill from the Capital City. The Monastery was partially affected by the earthquake a couple of years back. Due to terrain and topography of the location of the Monastery, rebuilding works took some time. Bhutan Scouts Association joined in a two day service for helping the Monks in the restorative works. Scouts carried plywood from Thimphu uphill towards the Monastery. At the site, Scouts helped in carrying sand, timber, stones and cleared the debris near the monastery. It was satisfying moment for every one involved not just physically but also spiritually and emotionally as well.
