Bersih Pantai Amed, Abang Karangasem
This project was inspired by the increasing amount of waste found along the beach, which negatively impacts the environment and marine life. As Scouts, we feel responsible to take action and contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment. We also wanted to raise awareness among the community about the importance of reducing plastic waste and protecting our oceans.
The project was carried out at Amed Beach, Karangasem, a popular tourist destination and a sacred place for local Hindu rituals. We conducted a beach clean-up focused on collecting plastic and residual waste to reduce pollution and maintain the cleanliness of the area.
Through this project, we learned the importance of teamwork and environmental responsibility. We realized that small actions, such as cleaning waste, can have a positive impact on the environment. This activity also increased our awareness of plastic pollution and the need to protect coastal areas.
