Backwood man's Cooking
On 8th September, Nazhoen scouts of Yebilaptsa CS had Backwoodsmen’s cooking competition among five patrols. They were judged based on the set criteria and it was surprise program for them as we wanted to see their preparedness. They were provided with the resources like vegetables and rations and are asked to cook within one hour. In a given stipulated time, we could see an amazing teamwork, division of work among members, cooperation and great coordination. Out of five patrols, K2 came first followed by K1. Different varieties of curry were displayed by each patrol and it was prepared so professionally that it was difficult for the judges to judge the competition. When the time ran out we saw the camp site as clean as before displaying as if nothing was done there. Judges left remarkable comments saying that it was such an amazing competition and learning where they saw adults guiding Youngers how to proceed.
