AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON "SAY NO TO CRACKERS AND CELEBRATE SMOKELESS DEEPAWALI"

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON "SAY NO TO CRACKERS AND CELEBRATE SMOKELESS DEEPAWALI"

South Group of Kanchrapara District under Eastern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides have successfully organised a PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMME on “Pollution Free Environment” on and from 18th to 19th October 2019. As the largest festival of INDIA, DEEPAWALI is approaching and knocking our doors, therefore as responsible citizens, it is our duty to celebrate this DEEPAWALI with the least of smoke as it is harmful to the environment and also causes various health diseases.

Keeping this view in mind, on 18.10.19, South Group organised an Essay Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition on “SAY NO TO CRACKERS AND CELEBRATE SMOKELESS DIWALI” for Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers. With full enthusiasm and devotion, all the group members participated actively in these competitions.

South Group also organised an AWARENESS RALLY on “POLLUTION FREE ENVIRONMENT” in the Foreman Colony Area on 19.10.19 by means of Posters and Nukkad Natak. Awareness Campaigns were done in various public places where education on “Harmful effects of Pollution” was given by means of Posters. Handbills were also distributed among the local people thus creating more and more awareness. We got appreciation from the local people. All the group members have taken part actively.
