
Awareness Campaign on Corona Virus Outbreak
With the first case of the Corona Virus infections in Bhutan on 5th march 2020, the School Scouts Associations conducted an an awareness campaign on 6th March 2020 to 348 students 409 publics and 45 staff in the school. This was to make every one aware so that they remain alert and away from the infections.
During this time, the participants were informed about the nature of the disease, the symptims and the preventive measures to avoid getting infected by the virus. They were also informed about the statistics of the country and the people infected and were advised not to painic and react but take the situations carefully.
On the next day, 7th March 2020, the students and the staff were taught on the 'Hand Wasing techniques' where in the Seven Hand Washing Steps were thoroughly taught to the students and staff as well. The soaps were bought through donations and tyhe buckets and jugs were brought from the hostels.
Right after the demonstrations, all the participants were asked to do the hand washing on their own so that they would learn better when done practically. This is conducted as one among different measures to prevent oneself from the pathogens such as the bacterial, fungal and the viral infections.
The modus operandi of this project was to make everyone aware of the infections, and also to know the preventive measures so that Bhutanese remain free from the infections.
