Anti Leprosy Day

On the Day of Gandhi Jayanthi, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, which is also the Anti - Leprosy Day, we the Scouts of the South West Chennai Bharat Scouts & Guides (INDIA) went to Central Leprosy Training and Research Institute, Chengepet, India to render our service and donate some of their utmost requirements. The total cost of all the materials for the Donation is Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Each kit includes 14 items of the cost of Rs. 1,500. The kit includes: Brush, Paste, Soap, Washing Powder, Shampoo, Oil, Torchlight, Biscuits, Horlicks, Mosquito Net, Umbrella, Talcum Powder, Mug and Bucket. Common Products include, Ceiling Fan, Food for that day, Water Containers, Bed and Pillow, Cups and Saucers, etc. More than 20 Donors have donated these products. We were given awareness about Leprosy and about its non-communicable property by Mr. Shiva who rendered his service for Leprosy for 25 short years.
