Anti-Bullying Campaign in School
I joined scouting not only because of adventures but also because of community involvement. Recently, we conducted an Anti-Bullying campaign in our school because we want to encourage students to stop bullying & be aware of the consequences of doing so. It's not healthy for a bullied person’s self-esteem. I realized that as a scout I need to keep myself involve in my community by sending awareness to people about this project so we can live in a peaceful & harmonious community free of violence.
We conducted Anti-Bullying Campaign in our school, the Himamaylan National High in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. We secure first the approval from our school heads to conduct a Room-To-Room Campaign about Anti-Bullying, and we prepared some printed IEC materials.
Our school has around 4500 plus population. In this campaign, we estimated that this campaign benefited almost 2000 students of Himamaylan National High School.
I learned more about Bullying and its consequences by doing so and how to prevent bullying in school and in cyber world.
