
annual camp for scouts, guides, cubs, bulbuls
Around 30 scouts, guides cubs and Bulbuls with Rovers and rangers assembled in Hindu higher secondary school at 7:30am and started to campsite at 8:15 am for Annual camp 2016-17which is to be held at Avadi, Tonakela. We reached the campsite at 9:45am. The camp started on 10/2/2017 with around 160 campers and 15 organisers. The camp registration was followed by patrol division, tent allotment and flag break. Around 12:30 one of the rovers explained about camp rules and had a session about uniform for scouts and ranger explained it to guides .the sessions were interesting and informative. To relax and change the mood of the campers, the camp director conducted few games and make them fresh and active. It was followed by lunch at 1:00pm. After lunch, the spare time activities were conducted. The campers thoroughly enjoyed Few games which were conducted during the STA. IT was wholly fun filled time. It was conducted for almost an hour. The STA was for Cubs, bulbuls and for Scout and guides. It was followed by a session for basic 7 knots. The basic 7 knots were taught to scouts and guides and they were also taught about the uses of knot and they were given ideas for gadgets. Around 4:30 pm there was a tea break and students were asked to change to mufti so that they can have more fun during evening games. After a tea break, evening games were conducted. Evening games was wholly a fun based event. The whole campsite enjoyed the evening games thoroughly and rovers and rangers gave their best to give full fun filled games to campers. By the time, at 6:00 flag was lowered and after evening games there was instructions for campfire and redflower show. They were given 1 hour preparation time for campfire and it was followed by dinner. After dinner, the campfire began and ended around 10:30pm. In campfire, all patrols gave their best and showed their talents. Rovers and rangers also performed in between and made some hilarious acts. There was PL meet conducted by camp director followed by lights out. The day ended peacefully as expected. The next day started with rouse call at 5:30 am and started with B.P six exercise. The instructor, explained Bp six with its uses and gave demonstration. It was followed by instructions for Morning inspection. The rovers and rangers were the inspectors, they checked each tent and patrol on cleanliness, presentation, drill, gadgets and uniform. The scouts, guides, Cubs and Bulbuls were encouraged to put more gadgets. After kit inspection, there was flag break. Rangers and rovers gave report on kit inspection. Campers were allowed for breakfast and after breakfast there was spare time activity. During STA the campers enjoyed a lot. They actively participated and had fun. Sessions were followed by that. The session was taken by camp director, it was so interesting that all the campers the session. It was followed by another small session which was taken by senior scout and it was also a interesting session that everyone enjoyed. It was by adventurous activities. It was the most awaited moment in the second day of the camp. The campers thoroughly enjoyed the games and proved themselves. It was all tough task for everyone but everyone was brave and courageous. There was a refreshing juice break followed by adventure activities. The campers had full fun in adventure activities. There was a lunch gap after the adventure activities and then followed by session and then evening games. In evening games the students had full fun. It was followed by instructions for grand campfire. The campfire preparation time was 1 hour and dinner was served at 8:00pm. The Grand camp fire was started and it was declared by the cubmaster of D.A.V public school. After the campfire, there was an interesting night game for campers conducted by camp director and once the game was done the lights were off. The most adventurous day came to an end peacefully. The third day, i.e 12/2/2017 the day started with rouse call at 5:30 am, the campers were tested on B.p six exercise and their uses. There was All faith prayer around 7:00 and it was followed by morning inspection. The inspector went on for checking all the things are done properly. Flag break was followed, during flag break the inspection report was submitted by rangers and rovers. After breakfast was served, the session was followed by that. The session was so much fun and informative. Treasure hunt game was conducted by rovers and rangers where the campers were confused with puzzles, riddles and clues. Camp director gave instructions for talentora activities. After lunch, there was a valedictory ceremony, which is the most awaited moment for the campers. The prizes were distributed and they were encouraged for the upcoming camps and events it was followed by flag lowering. the campers dispersed as per camp director’s command. The camp ended peacefully with god’s shower and blessing.
