Anger Management/Conflict Resolution

Preparing and giving a series of presentations to the scouts and scouters in the Tidewater Council, Bayside District, Troop 364 (and others) about anger awareness/management, conflict avoidance and conflict resolution.  In a Boy Scout Troop there is a wide range of diversity (age, ethnic, religious, cultural etc) that create a multitude of opportunity for anger related incidents.  This is amplified when scouts attend summer camp where the mingle with many different troops and thousands of scouts.  BSA has developed training programs for bullying as well as youth protection however, there is a need for specific training and awareness seminars on how to deal with anger and conflict.  We hope that our program will be a success and be adopted by other scouting units and organizations.  Work is still in progress - we hope to have it complete before July 2013 (in time to do the presentation before summer camp season starts in our region).
