All Year Through Green Garden

All Year Through Green Garden is an agricultural project that entails development of an organic garden in a suburban space. The major components of the garden are African Indigenous Vegetables (AIVs) which include amaranth (terere)spider plant (sagaa), kales (sukuma wiki) and perquin pepper (nchini) among other vegetables which include spring onions, spinach and coriander. The project objectives are: •Promote food security, improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture at house holds level. •Ensure sustainable food production systems and implement resilient agricultural practices. •Halt the loss of biodiversity, protect and prevent extinction of African Indigenous Vegetables. •Conserve, protect and sustainably use terrestrial ecosystems
