All blood types are urgently needed to save lives
The inspiration for me to take up the project is the Kuching City Scout Council wish to organize a blood donation campaign to promote the blood donation
The project was held at LA Promenade, Samarahan. This project was assist by the Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank Department by providing the medical support. They also provide foods and drinks for the donator after having their blood donation. In the meanwhile, we also gave every participants a certificate to thanks for their kindly help.
As the saying goes: "1 pint of blood, can save up to 3 lives". On that day we had successfully collected 141 pints of blood and which mean we can save up to 423 lives.
From this project, I learn about the benefits of blood donation. It also my first experience as a blood donator, and I will motivate my crew and also patrol members to participate in this event to gain more experience.
