Al Raneem Scouts for a Sustainable Beach
I was inspired to implement the beach clean-up with Al Raneem International Scouts by the Scout Movement’s role in promoting social responsibility and environmental awareness, and by the school’s commitment to serving the community and sustainability. The project also aimed to connect scouting with the Sustainable Development Goals while fostering volunteerism, teamwork, and active participation.
The beach clean-up project at Al Raneem International Private School began with presenting the idea to the school administration and obtaining their approval. A safe beach location and suitable day were selected, and parental consent was secured. Necessary equipment and tools were provided, and Scout leaders supervised student groups throughout the activity. The project was documented with photos and videos to highlight its educational and environmental impact
