Project of the International Committee of Junak - Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic focused on promotion of international scouting in the Czech scout association. Composed of 4 activities: - Seminar "Beyond the Horizon" - Methodological supprot (website, handbook, smartphone app, magazines) - "Creatin a better world" event - "ObRok" - international activities during the Czech rover jamboree Goal of the project: To strengthen the meaning and awareness of scouting as an international organization being actively involved in solving global issues and creating today’s society. Project is taking an adequate approach towards all age groups and its integration into the program and Junaks’ methodology. Activity 1 - Seminar "Beyond the Horizon" The weekend seminar (12. - 14. 10. 2012) Main goal: motivation, better awareness of possible international activities, presenting a developing methodology of working with International dimension in scout groups. Lecturers and participants from foreign NSAs (Austria, France, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, WOSM Europe region) 3 programe blocks: - International scouting in my home clubroom - Where to go while abroad - Scout project management Activity 2 - Methodological support Find out the way how to help leaders and others to use international dimension of Scouting. Theoretical and practical aspects of international scouting, how to incorporate it into the program and how to cooperate on projects involving international activities. For people interested in international scouting looking for inspiration. Outcomes: new handbook, website and smartphone app. Activity 3 - Creating a better world event On the 23th of April - activities and games involving global issues. Posters (size A3) brought out in 4200 copies to describe graphic-friendly these issues to scouts attached to the magazines for active group leaders. Activity pack on the website. Activity 4 - "ObRok" - Czech rover jamboree PLAN: - Czech rover jamboree, every 2 years, around 1000 rovers - inviting a Rover group of participants mostly from Agora 2012 - contributing their own games, discussions or sessions how to become a Messenger of Peace and create their own project - International party to share experiences and ideas about global issues which mainly rovers can face Each member of foreign group from different country Plan has changed: - Floods in Czech Republic - 1m of water on the campsite - Event cancelled the day when int. group came to Prague - Compensatory program: Networking and discussions about international rovering Visit of czech rovers and common campfire Help with cleaning after floods Second chance: - ObRok in September 2013 - International committee presentation - Lectures about ID - Discussion about how scouts change the world - Approx. 100 participants on our lectures
