5th Malaysian JOTA station was opened in KL by Batu District Scouts with station master Mr Kevin 9M2KEV and station manager En Fauzan 9W2FOR. It was done to expose cub scouts, scouts and seniors scouts to amateur radio in general so that the hobby will have young enthusiasts and also explain the benefits of learning in times of emergency. I helped to manage as station as a Ham radio supporter in place of the lack of manpower to teach 2m radio along with Mr Darren. It was a good experience to teach kids the SOP when communicating over the air for their first time and able to maximise their knowledge of interco alphabets.
