50th Anniversary Scout & Explorer Camp in St. Gallen, Switzerland

Research for 50th Anniversary Scout & Explorer Camp in St. Gallen, Switzerland. In the late 6th Century, the Irish monk St. Gall (or Gallus), travelled from the Abbey at Bangor in the north of Ireland through Europe to build the hermitage by the river Steinach in 612 AD, which led to the founding of the city of St. Gallen. To celebrate 50 years of our Scout Group at St. Gall's Church in Bangor, we would like to organise an Golden Anniversary Camp at St. Gallen, Switzerland in July / August 2019. We would need local contacts who would be willing to help arrange partnership before, during and as a legacy project towards a Diamond event in 2029. we would also be interested in hosting a Swiss contingent at a return (or prior)partnership event in Northern Ireland at a future date.
