A TOTAL of 40 Junior Scouts, Venture Scouts and Rover Scouts received their certificates of participation yesterday after completing the fourth Spiritual Guidance Programme organised by the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD). The certificates were presented by Chief Commissioner Haji Badar bin Haji Ali, during a ceremony held at the PPNBD headquarters in Gadong. The programme – organised by the PPNBD through the Religious Section at the Messengers of Peace Brunei and its Public Relations Division – aimed to promote more awareness among participants their Islamic responsibilities, particularly during Ramadhan. During the three-day programme, a religious lecture was presented by Ustaz Isham bin Ismail, a lecturer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre; and a Solat workshop by students from the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan. Among the activities were Tedarus sessions, Sungkai gatherings, mass Tarawikh prayers, nightly vigils, and spiritual therapy. Also present at the ceremony were scout commissioners, scout executive officers and scout leaders.
