2nd Biennial Gyalsey Nachung Scouts Camp: Together for positive change

 

A total of 100 Nachung Scouts, 6 resource team, 14 escort leaders, 7 youth volunteers and 13 CBS volunteers participated in the 2nd Biennial Gyalsey Nachung Scouts Camp conducted at Bjibjokha Primary School from 5th December till 7th December 2018. The camp was organized to dedicate to the birth of our Beloved Gyalsey and to celebrate the 50 years of Indo-Bhutan friendship. It was also to create a platform for the scouts to meet other scouts from different schools under the same Dzongkhag. It was also aimed to enhance friendship, brotherhood  and leadership, and to experience hands on knowledge of the camp.

Their day started early at 5:30 am and were fully involved in the activites conducted at the camp until they retired for the night at 9:30pm. Their activities included  the basic drill, basic rope work, first-aid, cultural programme, values and etiquette, signs and signals, quiz on scouting knowledge, and adventure. These activities were planned on the theme 'Together for Positive Change' and were intended to promote peace in the community and world at large.
