2nd Batch of Rosary Giving in Bacolod City!

A second batch of rosaries was given out by Scouts in Bacolod City.

The Scouts from Agila Bacolod and NESAPh Papa Isio Chapter No. 6 was stationed outside the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Bacolod City Council Headquarters and held signs which read "Free Rosary".

Most that were given were jeepney drivers, passengers, and pedicab drivers, but street vendors also asked for the rosaries.

Filipino drivers are usually seen with rosaries in their rear view mirror, these rosaries are for them a symbol of protection and guidance during their travel.

The response was very positive as many people approached the Scouts themselves to ask for the rosaries and even asked how to pray it.

A notable change to the activity is that instead of going around Metro Bacolod, the Scouts were stationary.

This change is part of the precautionary measures ensured that proper health protocals are still observed in the duration of the activity.

The goal of this activity is to spread hope to the frontliners, and these include jeepney drivers, street vendors, pedicab drivers, and the like, that are mostly neglected.

Although not necessarily part of the medical team in fighting the spread of COVID-19, these frontliners are still essential in the people's day to day transactions.

The rosaries are from the Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross.

This activity is part of the project, FaithFull - Proyekto Pagtuo.
