24th WSJ International Service Team: Pathfinders
The world scout jamboree also builds an international service team (IST) of up to 10,000 scouts to deliver the jamboree program. The duty of every IST member was to work hard in their respective groups and play a vital role in motivating and supporting participants and providing services, program and facilities. All the IST members ensured that all those young people who were attending the jamboree leave with a wider view of the world, a deeper understanding of campsite and a renewed commitment to scouting.
International Service Team (IST) also contained Pathfinders. The mission of pathfinders was to facilitate the mountaintop experience on Mount Jack by helping participants navigate to the highest point at the summit, served as a jamboree ambassador by serving as a resource to the participants, support public safety responses while staffing on hiking trails, assist mountaintop closing program at end of the day.
