
2018 International Day of Peace
Last September 21, 2018, six University of the East-Manila Outfit 1331 Scouts attended the annual International Day of Peace in the Quezon City Memorial Circle at Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City. Grade 10 Senior Crew Leader Roy Edison De Guzman, Grade 9 Scout Gabriel Loterina, and Grade 7 Scouts, Kenneth Pagarigan, Felix Frederick Lizarondo, Eric Kaede Rodriquez and Lourd Ian Francis Espiritu were accompanied by Scouter John Kristoffer B. De Jesus.
They participated in the Opening Ceremonies that began at excatly 8:00 in the morning that was followed by the Drum and Lyre Competition that lasted until 12 noon. After lunch, the Outfit went on a historical hike in the Manuel Quezon Memorial Shrine where documents, pictures, artifacts formerly possessed by the late President Manuel L. Quezon, with his remains were even preserved through time in this museum.
After the hike, the scouts participated in the National Scouting Committee's three educative booths; the Origami Crane Making, Reach and Reach Microscopic, and the Planetary Alignment. The booth games lasted until 6 PM and were ended with colorful fireworks.
