11th Pmb Nature walk at Wylie Park
11th Pietermaritzburg decided to do a nature walk and clean-up as part of our national cub challenge for 2023.
Our cubs walked to our local municipal park, Wylie Park, and collected litter on the walk there, while we were in the park and again on the way back to our meeting hall.
It is very difficult to measure how many people will benefit from our clean-up project as it was at busy local municipal park but I can say that our 18 participants have benefitted directly from this experience.
It was very beneficial for our Cubs to see that even a small number of people (even children) can make a difference and have an impact on the local environment.
