11TH PMB CUB PACK - WYLIE PARK CLEAN-UP
We at 1th Pietermaritzburg Cub Pack took up the project as part of our National Challenge 2023
We took our Cubs on a Nature Walk through our local municipal park, Wylie Park, and did a litter pick-up in the street on the way to the park and in the park. Together the Cubs collected more than 15 bags of litter.
Our Cubs and leaders, 18 that took part, directly benefited from this as they can see for themselves the effects litter has on the environment. Our project was at our local municipal park so its hard to say how many community members this will have affected.
We are a very small Pack but even in small numbers we can make a big impact. Each Cub will carry the "litter less" philosophy with them as they grow in to productive adults
