The Local Government of Lipa with the help of its organizations hosted the provincial celebration of the Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 2015 at Plaza Independencia. It is attended by different government organizations and leaders. The entrance of colors was done by The Mabini Academy Eagle Scouts followed by the entrance of the evolution of flags also done by The Mabini Academy Eagle Scouts. First, the two main religions here in our Province, Roman Catholic and Muslim religion, offered a prayer. After it, our governor, Hon. Vilma Santos-Recto raised the flag and many Batangeño proudly sings our Philippine National Anthem. And then she delivered a short speech and followed by a great performance of Batangeño Youth Dancers. After the program, the government offered a merienda for different government organizations and leaders.Some scouts proceeded to SM City Lipa to attend the flag raising there and to attend the program conducted by the administration of SM City Lipa.
