The people of Yamaguchi prefecture came together last night (Friday 31st July) to provide the people of the Jamboree as well as the locals with a fantastic evening of entertainment. The evening began with a parade, with many local groups wearing traditional clothing and performing various dances and ended with a brilliant musical performance and fireworks. Some scouts enjoyed the performances so much, they even joined in with the dancing! The Yamaguchi locals also generously donated thousands of Bento boxes for the adults and ISTs to enjoy for dinner, which really was a different and tasty experience.
