World Environment Day
On behalf of Bharat Scouts and Guides District Udhampur Headquarters, a tree plantation program was conducted in Women's College on World Environment Day. District Training Commissioner Veena Sharma said that on the occasion of Environment Day, Various activities are organised with the aim of making people aware of environmental protection. Under this, online poster, drawing, poetry and short video competition was organized. Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers participated enthusiastically. Scout Master Rakesh Sharma, while explaining to everyone, told that in the second wave of Corona, wander from rate to rate for oxygen, so that we can save our loved ones. But while cutting trees, we forget that these trees provide us with oxygen. In such a situation, the main purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware of the environment. Scout Master Amardev Singh said that posters on environmental protection and climate change were made on behalf of Scout, Guide, Rover and Ranger while staying in their respective homes. Children were given the message through poems that the protection of the earth is the first priority of man. Former District Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides, Ashok Kumar appealed to everyone to plant more and more trees for environmental protection and said that in view of the summer season, Scouts and Guides should plant birds for birds. Reminding everyone of the duty of human beings on behalf of the environment, everyone was administered the oath of environmental protection. He said that man can remain healthy only when nature is healthy. Scout Masters Dr. Khemraj, Ved Kumar, Anil Kumar, Jagdev Singh, Amit Kumar, Guide Captains Divangana Dubey, AnuRadha Sharma, Priyanka Sharma and Carona warriors of Medical and Education Department also participated on this occasion.
