Unity and Impact at the 28th APRSC
From 12–17 October 2025, the 28th Asia-Pacific Scout Conference was successfully held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, bringing together National Scout Organizations (NSOs), regional leaders, partners, and key stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific Region. The Conference reaffirmed regional unity, strengthened governance, and charted the course for the next three years of Scouting through the approval of the 2025–2028 Triennial Plan—anchored on ten strategic priorities focused on empowering young people, innovation in education, inclusion, safety, growth, digital transformation, and sustainability.
The event was honored by the presence of Chen Chi-Mai, Mayor of Kaohsiung City; Liu Kuo-Wei, Deputy Minister of Education; and Wu Cheng-Wen, Minister of the National Science and Technology Council and Keynote Speaker—demonstrating strong institutional support for youth development and the Scout Movement.
Guided by the World Scout Committee and Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee, delegates actively engaged in plenary sessions, breakout discussions, and best practice sharing, strengthening collaboration and shared learning across the region. Through the Messengers of Peace Fund, eight NSOs were supported to participate, ensuring inclusive representation and regional solidarity.
Complementing the Conference was an interactive Asia-Pacific regional exhibit themed “Scouting Integrated Versatility” along with the NSOs and partners booths. The booth showcased impactful initiatives such as the Young Peace Builders Programme, Ticket to Life, the Impact Innovators Challenge, and Global Youth Mobilization projects aligned with the SDGs. It also highlighted Safe from Harm, diversity and inclusion efforts, and World Scouting’s educational programmes and services available to NSOs.
With over 1,000 visitors—including NSO leaders, Scouts, and partners—the exhibit strengthened awareness of APR’s integrated support systems and demonstrated how Scouting continues to empower young people as leaders of positive change.
Together, the Conference and exhibit reflected a united, forward-looking Asia-Pacific Scout Movement—grounded in values, strengthened by partnerships, and committed to delivering meaningful impact for young people and communities across the region.
