TRAILS FOR MENTAL HEALTH

The Scouts Healing Invisible Wounds mobilized 76 young people and adults to join in the ‘Trails for Mental Health’ activity at Ngong Hills in Kajiado County. This was to give them an opportunity to interact with nature as they engage in interesting activities such as Zumba, yoga, and hiking while meditating and sharing on the theme of the day which was GRATITUDE. Being in nature can boost your mood and improve mental health. Spending quality time in great outdoor activities reduces stress, calms anxiety, and can lead to a lower risk of depression.
