
TENDERFOOT BASE TRAINING FOR THE YOUNG SCOUTS OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA
As part of The Scout Association of Nigeria efforts of developing Scouting from the Grass root. The Badagry Local Association of Lagos State Scout Council held a Weekend Camp for the Young Scouts between the Ages of 10 to 14 to train them on some Basic Scouting namely:
History of Scouting
Law and Promise
Nigeria Flag,
Good Citizenship
Values of Scouting within the Society and
Characters Building within within the Society
Scouting and Community Development.
Leading the Training Camp was the Former District Commissioner of Ojo Badagry Local Association who is currently the National Headquarters Commissioner for Sea Scouting Dr. Raji Bomodeoku, and in support were the other Scout Leaders within the Local Association. This is one of our goals of rejuvenating Scouting at the Grass Root at every Nooks and Crannies of Nigeria and in support of the Global Vision of WOSM towards the attainment of 100 Million Young Scouts by 2023 and beyond.
