The Story of an Indonesian Scout Barista

His name is Acep Junaedy, but in the social media he put his name as Acep Asa. Actually it is an abbreviation of Association of Solidarity Adventurer. He is a real adventurer, a mountaineer, a trekker, water sports activist, and many more outdoor activities. Yet, he also a Scout leader. Then, he is also a barista, someone who makes and serves coffee and coffee drinks (such as cappuccino) to customer. He proves his skills at the recent Indonesia 10th National Scout Jamboree which held at Cibubur Scout Campsite, east of Jakarta, from 14 to 21 August 2016. Besides helped as one of the instructor and facilitator at the water activities for the jamboree participants, he built a simple café called “Jambore Kita” in Bahasa Indonesia, or “Our Jamboree” in English. The café was near the Situbaru Lake at the campsite, where almost all the sports activities being held. In his spare time or whenever he was not busy with the water activities, he serves customer with many type of coffee. Mostly Indonesian local coffee from different provinces. Not only he is very skillful to brew, blend, and made coffee and coffee drinks like cappuccino, but he also decorated the top of the cappuccinos cup with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) logo and the Gerakan Pramuka – the Indonesia Scout Movement – logo.
