A Short Story of the 2007 Purple Neckerchief

This is a short story of the purple neckerchief made in the year 2007. To welcoming the 100th anniversary of the World Scouting movement, I made two purple neckerchiefs with official logo of the 100th anniversary of the World Scouting movement and the additional words "Wartawan Pramuka" above the logo and "Scout Journalist" below the logo. “Wartawan Pramuka” is the Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) translation of “Scout Journalist”. I made also an additional inscription "Scouting Forever" placed outside the logo. All of the logo and words/inscription is made by machine embroidery. I made it very limited, only two neckerchiefs. But, not until the Singapore Scout Fiesta Festival was held by the Singapore Scout Collectors Club in 2015, when I gave one of the neckerchief to somebody. In Singapore, I met with Trevor Johnson, a reputable Scouting memorabilia collector from the United Kingdom. I presented Trevor Johnson with one of the neckerchief. Besides as a gift to a fellow collector friend, I also gave him the neckerchief so he could take home to the United Kingdom. As the neckerchief was created to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the World Scouting movement that was “born” by Lord Baden-Powell in the United Kingdom, so at least one of the neckerchief now return home to the United Kingdom.
