Scouts officially launch first Scout-led and Youth-led Interfaith Network in the Philippines

Rover Scouts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Bacolod City Council officially launch the first Scout-led and Youth-led interfaith network in the Philippines.

The members of the interfaith network are community youth leaders and Rover Scouts who have undergone the FaithFull - Proyekto Pagtuo Virtual Boot Camp where they underwent learning sessions for youth leadership, community project implementation, and they've successfully proposed and defended a faith/religion-related dialogue project that they will implement in their community.

The members of the interfaith network will also be the first Rover Scouts to undergo the Dialogue for Peace Workshop on April 24, 25, May 1, and 2 as supported by the World Organization of the Scout Movement  - Asia Pacific Region Support Centre and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines National Office.

The interfaith network is composed of committees designed to support and spearhead its activities, namely; Scouting, Interfaith and Cultural Dialogue. Advocacies and Partnerships, Network and Membership, and Finance.

Now, as the interfaith network continues to grow, the next step would be to train another batch of advocates for interfaith dialogue or to reach out to other cities and regions to reach more youth leaders.

Either way, the journey of creating a better would through interfaith dialogue has already been started by these Rover Scouts and their journey has just started.

FaithFull - Proyekto Pagtuo is funded through the Dialogue for Peace Fund of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
