Scouts kick-off virtual campaign as Advocates for Interfaith Dialogue
Scouts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Bacolod City Council kicks-off the start of their virtual activities and campaigns as Advocates for Interfaith Dialogue through their Facebook Profile Pictures.
More than 60 Scouts who are committee members of FaithFull - Proyekto Pagtuo changed their profile pictures in their Facebook Profiles with a colorful profile frame showing that they are Advocates for Interfaith Dialogue.
FaithFull - Proyekto Pagtuo is a project of Agila Bacolod, under the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Bacolod City Council, which aims to create an interfaith network of youth leaders working towards sustainable development.
The said project is funded by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) through the Dialogue for Peace Fund.
The project's main activity was planned to be a 3-day camp for the youth leaders to be introduced to Scouting and the Rover Scout Program, the Dialogue for Peace Fund, and will be guided to plan, implement, and sustain a project in their respective communities, however, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this activity was temporarily put into halt.
As of the moment, the Scouts implementing the project have shifted to online platforms to implement and initiate interfaith projects.
More projects and activities are planned to be implemented, even in the online setting, to continue advocating for interfaith dialogue.
