It was a unique day for the nine new Scouts of the World! They were awarded with the Scouts of the World Award, on Saturday 29 of April 2017, at the beginning of the two-day’s Conference «Scouting for the path of volunteering». The Conference, organised by Soma Hellinon Proskopon (S.H.P.)-Scouts of Greece, took place in the Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure, in Athens. H.E. Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic was present during the nomination, and the awards were given by Mrs. Julijana Daskalov, Member of the European Scout Committee, and Mr. Theodoros Kefalas, National Chief Commissioner. The Scouts of the World Award ceremony attended -as representative of the Greek government- the Secretary General of Lifelong Learning and New Generation Mr. Pausanias Papageorgiou, members of the Parliament, the President of Soma Hellinon Proskopon (S.H.P.)-Scouts of Greece Mr. Christos Lygeros, members of the Administration Board of S.H.P., officials of Non-Governmental Organizations and many Scouts. The Scouts of the World program is under the auspices of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and is active, also, in our country. So far, the Scouts of the World Award has been given to 22 members of Soma Hellinon Proskopon (S.H.P.)-Scouts of Greece aged 15-26. The nine Rovers discovered and followed their path to volunteering…We wish them to discover more paths! - - Ήταν μια μοναδική ημέρα, για τους, εννέα, νέους Προσκόπους του Κόσμου! Το Σάββατο 29 Απριλίου 2017 τούς απονεμήθηκε το βραβείο Πρόσκοπος του Κόσμου, στην έναρξη της διημερίδας που διοργάνωσε το Σώμα Ελλήνων Προσκόπων στο υπουργείο Μεταφορών και Υποδομών, με θέμα: Ανιχνεύοντας το μονοπάτι του εθελοντισμού. Στην απονομή τους παρών ήταν η Α.Ε. ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας κ. Προκόπιος Παυλόπουλος, ενώ το βραβείο απονεμήθηκε από το μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Προσκοπικής Περιοχής κα Julijana Daskalov και τον Γενικό Έφορο κ. Θοδωρή Κεφαλά. Στην εκδήλωση το «παρών» έδωσε και ο εκπρόσωπος της κυβέρνησης Γενικός Γραμματέας Δια Βίου Μάθησης και Νέας Γενιάς κ. Παυσανίας Παπαγεωργίου, όπως επίσης και εκπρόσωποι των κομμάτων του κοινοβουλίου, ο Πρόεδρος του Σ.Ε.Π. κ. Χρήστος Λυγερός, μέλη του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Σώματος Ελλήνων Προσκόπων, επικεφαλής μη κυβερνητικών οργανώσεων, και Πρόσκοποι από όλη την Ελλάδα. Το βραβείο Πρόσκοπος του Κόσμου είναι ένα πρόγραμμα του Παγκόσμιου Οργανισμού Προσκοπικής Κίνησης, ενεργό και στη χώρα μας. Το βραβείο έχει απονεμηθεί έως τώρα σε 22 μέλη του Σώματος Ελλήνων Προσκόπων ηλικίας 15-26 ετών. Οι εννέα νέοι και νέες ανακάλυψαν το δικό τους μονοπάτι του εθελοντισμού και το ακολουθούν…Τους ευχόμαστε να ανακαλύψουν περισσότερα μονοπάτια!
