Scouts from different parts of Mauritius contributes to the collection of 30 tons of wastes.

The nature in Mauritius is increasingly threatened by humans.

Scouts in Mauritius are trying their best to remedy to this situation by making awareness campaign, clean up campaign and more.

This time some scouts coming from different parts of Mauritius had been in partnership with Outdoor Guides Association (OGA) to do a half day activity concentrating on the collection of waste found at a prestigious and tourist activity place called the Tamarind Falls.

This jouney has a theme and the theme were:- "Together clean up our beautiful island"

The Tamarind Falls are Mauritian waterfalls located southwest of the highest plateau in Mauritius, the Wilhems Plains. 250 meters high, they are located in the last part of the island's native forest. This forest is classified as a Mauritian Heritage.

Scouts and other participants from other NGO''s on that half day activity had been able to collect 30 tons of wastes in four hour only comprising of plastic bottles and other wastes noisive to the environment.

They had been rewarded at the end by a certificate of participation offering to them by the Vice President of the Republic of Mauritius.

Now the Mauritius Scouts Associaton are moving forward togther with other partnerships to contribute to the Earth Tribe.
