Scouts Aid in Quarantine Centre
BP Guild Labuan in collaboration with PPRMWPL has run a social responsibility program by making charitable collections and supplying basic necessities at the Covid-19 quarantine centers around W.P. Labuan on 11-16 June 2021. The program aims to increase access to the daily needs of quarantined Covid-19 patients and to help ease the burden of authorities providing the basic needs of Covid-19 patients.
The organizations supplied necessities such as drinking cups, hand sanitizers, bath soap, detergent and drinking water to four Covid-19 Treatment Quarantine Centers (CTQC) namely CTQC Labuan Corporation Multipurpose Hall, CTQC Labuan Industrial Training Institute, CTQC Labuan State Education Technology Division & Labuan Nucleus Hospital.
This organization has managed to collect cash funds and donations in the form of goods amounting to RM6,336 from individuals and groups. The cash funds collected were used entirely to purchase the basic necessities of the quarantined patients.
Datin Sri Norsiah binti Abdullah as the Patron of BP Guild WP Labuan did not miss the opportunity to contribute by personally donating 30 boxes of drinking water to this project. Throughout the project, the procurement and distribution of contributions to the quarantine center was made in accordance with standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council. The organization expresses its appreciation to the contributors in making this project a success.
Government agencies involvement via collaboration with the Director of the Department of Social Welfare En. Ansharey bin Matarsad and private sectors from Mr. Goh Chan, Managing Director of Rancha-rancha Aerated Water Co. and Mrs. Yuki Wong, Entrepreneur of New Chip Guan Minimarket assisted in the succesful delivery of the contributions and the smooth implementation of this program. This collaboration enabled the program to run successfully.
