Scouting - Guiding reaching out to the under privileged Orphan Children of naxal victims of Dantewada (Bastar region) India
The POTA cabin schools where the orphan children of Naxal victims and dropout children of remote tribal areas of Dantewada Dist of Bastar area are housed have been brought into scouting fold. 100% students both boys and girls will be trained as Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides.
A special drive has been started today 11.9.14 under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Anandji Singh, Asst. Commr(tribal) incharge of school education and DC(scout) ably assisted by Ms Shiny Ravindra DOC(G) and Mr.S.L.Shori DOC(S) visiting the remotest naxal effected area Chittalur, Mandoli and Godre driving hundreds of kilometers risking life to serve the mankind with scouting guiding spirit. 14 more such POTA cabin schools they will cover in next few days for opening new cub packs, flocks, troops and companies. A noble gesture. Hats off to Dist Collector shri Dev Senapatiji and his team. Shri B.Ramesh State Secretary Chhattisgarh India is co-ordinating for effective implementation of this novel scheme to make it as an example in the entire country (India).
