Scout Knots for Weaving Fraternity

On 20 October 2025, as part of my project “Intercultural and Interfaith Dialogue,” a meaningful encounter took place with members of the French Club at RGGU University. Together, we shared far more than words. We exchanged perspectives on our cultures, traditions, and how living together can build a more fraternal future. These genuine moments of sharing are the cornerstones of mutual understanding. This passion for bringing people together and building communities is something I have carried since my earliest years with the Salvation Army Scouts of Congo. Since 2008, scouting has been my school of life: first as a Patrol Leader, then as an Assistant Cub Scout Leader, I learned that a group’s strength arises from diversity and from listening to every voice. This same drive led me to establish a scout group within our university, to pass on these values of commitment and service. Every sincere handshake, every smile exchanged, every idea shared with the RGGU students was like a scout’s knot, strengthening the bond between us. That is the heart of the scouting spirit: to be a peacemaker and a bridge-builder where others might see boundaries. What comes next? This interfaith dialogue project continues to grow! Every encounter provides fresh inspiration as we prepare future initiatives.
