With very deep sense of loss, but with total submission to the Will of God, we announce the home calling of one of our Scouts Leaders in Nigeria by name: Her Lordship, Hon Justice Mrs Gladys Olubunmi Olateru Olagbegi - Officer of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Until her death yesterday 1st of January 2017, She was the President of the Ondo State Scout Council and Member of the National Board of Trustees of The Scout Association of Nigeria. Justice Olubunmi was born into the Omitowoju family in Ile Ife, a city in Osun State. Married into the Olagbegi family, a royal family in Owo Ondo State Nigeria. She attended the University of London where she received a bachelor and doctorate degree in Law She was called to the England bar in 1973 and the Nigeria Bar in 1974. She is an honorable member of Lincoln's Inn, London. In 1990, she was appointed to the bench of a High Court Judge of Ondo State Judiciary and in 2003, she became the Chief Judge of the state judiciary. She served in this capacity for seven years before she retired on October 26, 2010. On December 20, 2008, she was conferred with a National honor of Member of the Order of Federal Republic by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the former President of Nigeria. Hon Justice Gladys Olubunmi Olateru Olagbegi shall be greatly missed for her Leadership Roles that saw to the Growth of Scouting, not only within Ondo State, but Nigeria in General. No burial programs have been announced yet; while this would be communicated by the family, we shall continue to pray for the family, the State and the Scout Association that she left behind. Jusqu'à sa mort hier 1er Janvier 2017, elle a été le président du Conseil Ondo State Scout et membre du Conseil National des Fiduciaires de l'Association Scoute du Nigeria. Le juge Olubunmi est né dans la famille Omitowoju à Ile Ife, une ville de l'Etat d'Osun. Marié dans la famille d'Olagbegi, une famille royale dans Owo Ondo état le Nigéria. Elle a fréquenté l'Université de Londres où elle a obtenu un baccalauréat et un doctorat en droit. Elle a été appelée au Barre d'Angleterre en 1973 et au barreau nigérian en 1974. Elle est un membre honorable de Lincoln's Inn, Londres. En 1990, elle a été nommée au poste de juge de la Haute Cour de la magistrature de l'État d'Ondo et, en 2003, elle est devenue juge en chef de la magistrature étatique. Elle a occupé ce poste pendant sept ans avant de prendre sa retraite le 26 octobre 2010. Le 20 décembre 2008, elle a reçu l'honneur national du membre de l'Ordre de la République fédérale par le chef Olusegun Obasanjo, ancien président du Nigéria. La juge hon. Gladys Olubunmi Olateru Olagbegi sera grandement manquée pour ses rôles de direction qui ont vu à la croissance du Scoutisme, non seulement dans l'état d'Ondo, mais le Nigéria en général. Aucun programme de sépulture n'a encore été annoncé; Alors que cela serait communiqué par la famille, nous continuerons à prier pour la famille, l'Etat et l'Association scoute qu'elle a laissée derrière.
