Above subject refers and coupled with the overflown of Cameroun River into the Nigeria Niger-Basin within the last few days, which has actually created heavy flooding within and around Kaduna State of Nigeria and this has affected several thousands of Houses at Kaduna State and her environs. No doubt about the fact that; most of our members and their families were terribly affected by these Ecological issues. As we write, Scouts and their families were displaced by the flooding. (Please see the attached photographs). While counting on the foregoing environmental issues, the National Scout Organization is using this opportunity to solicit for the Messengers of Peace Support funds to cater for these displaced people at different camps that they currently reside. Though the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Emergencies Management Agencies (NEMA) is trying her best to support the victims, but additional comprehending efforts are required from the Non-Governmental Organization to assist in the alleviation of suffering of the people that were effected by these unforeseen bad experiences. It would sincerely be appreciated if this support fund could be extended to Nigeria, having shown thorough commitment into the course of Messengers of Peace in Nigeria and even Africa as a whole.
