Project Shield Her Future

My motivation for this project came when I saw a friend lose their family member to Cervical Cancer. Since this project required a lot of funding I decided to get help from the Rotaract Club of my College and the Rotary Club of Madras Central and organise a Cervical Cancer Vaccine Awareness Camp as well as a Vaccine Drive to vaccinate 300 women for free. On 1st of March we had started virtual campaigns for the vaccine drive being conducted at my college campus and from 15th to 19th March we had an awareness campaign in our college and neighbouring colleges letting students know the pros of this vaccine. Following this on 20th we had the vaccination drive where 300 women had gotten their cervical cancer vaccine at our college campus. What I learnt from this project was that even when it seems impossible to get funding for something, collaboration for a good cause can help you succeed.
