The Kenya Scouts Association organized a Plastic Tide Turners Awareness Workshop for Scout Leaders drawn from different scout units in Nairobi County. The workshop attracted 45 leaders. The aim of the workshop was to create awareness and help participants gain knowledge on plastic pollution then later they are expected to disseminate the same knowledge to scouts in their units as they voice for plastic pollution and encourage the young people to take effective steps for proper plastic waste disposal. The Kenya Scouts Association is on a mission to reach at least 3500 young people who will take up the plastic tide turners challenge and earn their badges by the end of October 2022.
